To transform the lives of high school students through 3 distinct intensive field-based immersion programs. (Bihar/Jaipur/Delhi)

With over 2 decades experience in leading the India's largest NGO, our founder has lead impact on thousands of families. Founder's long experience at the grassroots along with a Harvard Professor being the Program Advisor, the immersion is uniquely designed to create deep impact. A Harvard Faculty, Professor SV Subramanian is the Program Advisor for this program. Our approach aligns with SDG 4 by promoting quality education, ensuring inclusivity, and addressing specific targets such as qualified teaching and improved literacy

PUBLIC POLICY

Dive deep into India's New Education Policy, understanding it in theory and witnessing its impact and gaps in schools.

GOVERNANCE

Get up-close with local governance, meeting the movers and shakers of local self-government.

LOCAL IMMERSION & PROBLEM SOLVING

Teach, volunteer, and make a tangible difference in locality. Tackle real-life issues by crafting innovative solutions from the ground up.

MENTORING

Guide a younger student through their learning journey, enriching experiences of each other. Mentoring a student younger than the participants online. (Total 10 hours)

ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Engage with NGO's on Livelihood enhancement and solve case studies on Entrepreneurship for real time projects of women entrepreneurs.

CULTURAL EXCHANGE

To understand cultural diversity and to embrace the rich tapestry of Bharat culture through heritage walk and interaction with local people.

Eligibility: For 9th - 12th Graders

Logistics

Program Fees - 4,500 USD

The fee includes airport transfers in Jaipur, accommodation, meals, dedicated support team for safety escorts, first aid availability.

 

The program is residential.

Certification

  • Letter of recommendation from Harvard Alumnus.

  • Certificate of completion, recognizing your dedication and newly acquired skill from SOHUM & NGO’s involved in the program.

  • 8TH MAR’ 24- Application starts on rolling basis

  • 20TH  JUNE’ 24- Last Date of Admission, subject to seats availability

  • 14TH JUL’ 24-  Arrival in Jaipur

  • 15TH JUL’ 24- Program Starts

  • 27TH JUL’ 24- Program Ends

  • 28TH JUL’ 24- Departure from Jaipur

  • 13TH SEP’ 24- Extended Online Mentoring (Total 10 hour)

PUBLIC POLICY

Dive deep into India's New Education Policy, bridging theory to reality, identifying gaps and forging pathways for underprivileged students in a school.

GOVERNANCE

Get up-close with local governance, meeting the movers and shakers of local self-government.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Volunteer with MIT faculty founded Project Prakash in Delhi, supporting visually impaired children, and contributing to their operations and strategy building.

MENTORING

Guide a younger student through their learning journey, enriching experiences of each other. Mentoring a student younger than the participants online.

BUILDING STORY

Learn the art of crafting compelling narratives inspired by unique experiences and personal journeys of the participants during the program.

PROBLEM SOLVING

Tackle real-life issues in two weeks' challenge, crafting innovative solutions from the ground up. Participants will identify a local problem and work on the solutions.
